Tenleytown fellows 2025-2026

Jamie Rutherford is the Tenleytown Fellow for 2025-2026. He will travel to Washington a total of 12 times between now and fall 2026, and will focus his attention on classic movies, classically told. He will fulfill his fellowship primarily at the American Film Institute and will begin his term with an October 2025 presentation, Good Movies Matter.

Lorenzo Johnson is the Tenleytown Student Fellow for 2025-2026. He has committed to viewing 120 new movies (40 of them in theaters) during his term and will write a screenplay and shoot an 18-24 minute short that will be viewed in October 2026. He will work closely with other scriptwriters, cinematographers, and actors en route to produce his still-to-be-named movie.
